Editorial at The Alice in Destin, Florida

THE JAMES’

Tucked along Florida’s Emerald Coast, The Alice is a brand-new luxury venue designed with modern elegance and timeless romance in mind. Featuring airy interiors, lush outdoor spaces, and a sophisticated coastal charm, it provides the perfect backdrop for couples who want an elevated yet inviting atmosphere. Every detail of the venue feels thoughtfully curated, making it an unforgettable space for weddings that embrace romance and artistry.

When first visiting The Alice in May of 2025, we instantly fell in love with it and proposed the idea of doing an editorial here to showcase the venue. We wanted to give future couples an idea of what their wedding could look like here. We put together an amazing team of vendors and got to brainstorming.

Considering the venue’s vibe, we decided to go with something fun, fresh, and elegant. This editorial was inspired by the warmth of summer, where golden light dances with the ocean breeze. With lush greenery, vibrant yellow florals, fresh citrus details, and the serene beauty of the Emerald Coast, it evokes the essence of an elegant coastal celebration. It’s the perfect inspiration for couples dreaming of a summer wedding that feels both timeless and effortlessly romantic.

Drawing on the theme of summer and the rising trend of yellow, we stuck to a tropical inspired pallet of yellow, green, and white. We wanted to show off the venue’s stunning 300-year-old oak tree on the deck so Eva with Tulip Event Florals came up with the idea to cascade the flowers across it. The installation felt both whimsical and editorial, turning the oak into a living centerpiece that perfectly anchored the outdoor setting and elevated the entire design.

Upon brainstorming, we told Eva that the one thing we really wanted to do was have a floral filled tablescape for reception and we wanted serpentine tables for a chic, elevated experience. Eva knew just who to reach out to. We got 850 Event Rentals onboard and started dreaming up the tablescape. Flowers draped over the tables, lemons and limes for a fresh touch, hand-made menus by the talented Blushes Design, gorgeous green suede table tops from I Do Linens, candles and mini lamps, and so much more. It was beyond lush and dreamy.

Oh, and we cannot forget about the cake. Just Think Cake made a two tiered vintage, Lambeth cake with a butter yellow frosting. It was insanely gorgeous and even more delicious!

Our bride, Jessica, wore a mikado ballgown from Essense of Australi’s romance collection. It had floral lace detailing on it, cat eye scoop neckline, and the most fun pleated skirt that had a gorgeous train. She wore a scattered pearl cathedral veil with some Jimmy Choo heels. Michael, our groom, wore a sleek black tux from Vera Wang. Just wait till you see how stunning they look. Abbyy who is part of the Kendra K Beauty team made Jessica glow and look so sun-kissed.

We can’t forget about our surprise element. The Alice also has a marina behind it that they own so we did something iconic and got a yacht to come for a fun photo-op thanks to Holloway Yacht Charters. We listened to the waves crash against one another and watched the sun set before cutting the cake and drinking some champagne. It was truly the best time and we got amazing photos.

If you’ve been searching for a venue that has ocean views without being on sand, lush greenery, and something that has both indoor and outdoor options then you can stop searching because you’ve found it. The Alice is a dream venue. The best part? You can make that dream come true by getting married here!
