We’re still reminiscing on the Salina’s perfect coastal New England summer wedding!

Jimmy and Monica celebrated their love surrounded by their friends and family at the Eolia Mansion in Waterford, Connecticut. From colorful florals to golden light slipping through the gardens, every moment felt like it was straight out of a dream.

A little fun fact, I actually photographed their proposal a couple years ago back on Pensacola Beach in Florida. Something to note is that this was before Logan and I got married and before we combined our photography businesses. It was also my first time capturing a proposal and the forecast originally showed lots of clouds and rain. I asked Jimmy if he wanted to proceed and he didn't want to delay the proposal so we went for it. I won’t lie, I was beyond nervous. Thankfully it didn’t rain! I hid during the moment, but as soon as they were celebrating I hurried over to congratulate them.

Once talking with them, Monica was so excited that I was the photographer. She had told Jimmy that if he were to propose, she wanted a photographer there to capture it. Best part? She specifically told him she wanted me! Hearing that I was someone’s dream photographer honestly stopped me in my tracks.

She later shared how she envisioned a New England wedding on the coast with lots of florals, a colorful palette, and oysters. I remember telling her that I loved traveling. That was me subtly throwing my shot.

Flash forward a few years later and here we are! Logan and I now have combined our photography businesses, creating Madysin and Logan Photography, and we photograph weddings together. Getting to be a part of that very dream Monica once described was truly surreal.

We mean it when we say that connection plays a big role into our process. We love our couples and invest in them. Getting to document Jimmy and Monica’s wedding felt like such a full circle moment and it’s one that I will forever cherish.
