While we are primarily wedding photographers, we also love documenting couples, families, and the in between seasons of life that deserve to be remembered just as much. There is something really special about slowing down and spending an evening with a family, letting moments unfold naturally, and capturing the connection that already exists. Sessions like this one remind us why we love what we do so much.

Meaghan and Alex reached out to us while planning a trip to visit family in 30A. They shared that they wanted updated family photos with their sweet little boy, Van, before making a very exciting announcement. They were adding another boy to their family! It felt like such an honor to document this season right before everything changed in the best way.

Van was what we lovingly call dangerous because he is too cute for his own good and gave us instant baby fever. From the moment we met him, he was curious, expressive, and full of personality. He loved playing in the sand with his parents and was very determined to make his way into the ocean. When he realized the water was not happening just yet, he had a brief moment of disappointment, but it did not take long for smiles and laughter to return.

We let the session flow naturally, giving Van space to be himself while Meaghan and Alex soaked in every moment with him. Those quiet cuddles, playful giggles, and spontaneous interactions are always our favorite parts to photograph. We made sure to get a few portraits with him smiling at the camera too!

By the end of the evening, Van had officially reached his limit. A well timed lollipop saved the day and gave us the chance to capture a few sweet moments of Meaghan and Alex together while he happily hung out with us. It was the perfect ending to a sweet session and one we will not soon forget.
